East African Trading House PLC (EATH) was established in 2017 with the vision of creating the largest distribution company in Ethiopia. The company was formed by merging 16 PLCs that had been operating since 1998, with the sole mission of distributing products from sister companies.
The company aims to become one of the most preferred sales and distribution channels in Ethiopia and the East African region. It is primarily engaged in the distribution and sales of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and construction materials. While the company primarily distributes products from East African Holding group companies, it also offers a wide range of products from local and international producers.
The company has established Besh Gebeya branded outlets in Addis Ababa and Bahir Dar, following the Cash and Carry (C&C) concept. These outlets serve both retail and wholesale customers, aiming to push the boundaries of the local market by expanding the shop assortment and ensuring convenience for customers. In addition to the outlets, the company distributes its products through wholesale branches and sales territories in Bahir Dar, Dessie, Dire Dawa, Hawassa, and Shashemene.
The company is dedicated to investing in technology to develop modern services for its clients throughout the country.
